The Light and The Truth

Light sustains life. The sun is an important part of our universe, without which nothing else survives. Light has proven to be significant in our everyday lives for vision, medicine, manufacturing, and technology. The basic use of light is to discover new horizons—vision, make diagnoses—x-rays, CT scans, microscopy, chemistry, and to reveal the truth about a matter.
This book highlights two vital needs for a fulfilled life using life experiences and illustrations. The author seeks to explain spiritual truths using physical allegories. It has a smooth read from beginning to end, and you can finish reading within an hour or two.
Starting with the incident in a small town in Philistine, the use of the ‘Urim’-light and the ‘Thummim’-truth forms the bedrock of the information in this lovely book.

Foreword

“Life is not fair”, he said. “Life is not meant to be fair”, his father replied. “Life is a game, like a game of cards, you do not determine the cards that life deals you, but you need to play to win with your cards!”
Life is more than a card game. If it were, there are times that you have the opportunity and the power to choose which cards come your way. A lot of people who believe that life is a game attempt to change the rules. Others try to eliminate their perceived opponents to gain the upper hand.
Often, we all need an influence or power beyond us to align things in our favor.
We all need certain knowledge, understanding, and skills to enable us to play well if life was a game. It seems with experience, some play better while experience makes others worse.
I have had my own fair share of the good and the bad, pleasant, and unpleasant, the lovely and the awry. There have been ups and downs, mistakes, and achievements but I am grateful for my lot. Many have been far unlucky, and several are in my view much more fortunate.
Lately as I approach forty years, I have come to realize that there are two most important things in life. Two things which if one gets early in life and will not lose, will guarantee joy and peace at the end.
I have authored this book to help you with your daily living and enhance your relationships, especially if you are younger than 40 years. There is a saying that
‘life begins at forty. For older people, I have authored this book for those who seek to make meaning out of life. It is for those who have questions yet unanswered. Those who labor without hope, who look at a future that seems bleak and full of questions. This book is also for the promising young person who thinks he/she has what it takes and the individual who has been so blessed with potential and enough faith to march on in the journey of life.
I realized that I do not have to get old before those younger than me learn from me. I do not need to have arrived at the top before setting a trail for those coming after. I do not need to have died before lighting the way with the light I have received (via a biography of some sort). I know that someone would gain insight from reading part or the whole of this book. I hope you will be that person.
Thank you for the decision to read this book. That single act has made writing it worthwhile. Once again, I say, “thank you”.
